288 viewsOn the return trip to LA, I had breakfast while we were stuck (again) in Yuma. This dish looked like it was pre-cooked and microwaved onboard. Scrambled eggs, hash browns, and a biscuit.

276 viewsThe ridership on this train was pretty sad. This shot of the dining car was taken during breakfast-typically all those seats would be filled with passengers!

273 viewsAgain, we were supposed into LA at 10:10AM. We finally arrived around 6:30PM!!!
Because we were running so late, the cook made small impromptu dinners. These were free to all passengers in coach as well as sleepers. There was beef stew, rice pilaf, a roll, and a little bit of salad with italian dressing. Not bad for an "emergency" meal!

233 viewsMy tablemate and I both ordered the Prime Rib sandwich, which was very good!
(Note that we were supposed to arrive into Los Angeles at 10:10AM. We were running so late that they served a regular lunch session in the dining car)
I also had an ice cream with strawberry syrup.
